Custom matches on CYBERSHOKE aren't just "your own server for 5v5 with friends". Every lobby has modifiers: rules that bend normal CS2. One-shot kills with any gun, double jumps, clones, total darkness with a flashlight. Here's what each one does, how to turn them on, and which combos turn a normal game into a circus.
It all lives on the CYBERSHOKE custom matches page — a lobby takes a couple of clicks, no server rental and no config files.
What modifiers are in CS2 custom matches
Modifiers are extra lobby rules that change how a round works: damage, speed, economy, jumps. You turn them on in the match settings before the start, for everyone or for chosen players. It's a builder for your own mode on top of regular CS2 — no console, no plugins, no third-party builds.
How to enable modifiers in a CS2 lobby
The lobby host enables them in the match settings — a separate section next to map and format. You can hand them out selectively, to one player, or give everyone the same set with one button: that option landed in spring 2026 so you don't have to click through every player.
The lobby itself is created in the same place: if you haven't hosted a match yet, we have a separate walkthrough on how to create a CS2 server and invite friends — format, map, invite, done.
All CS2 modifiers: the full list
By the summer of 2026 the set grew to 11. Here's what each one does:
- One shot — kills an opponent with a single shot from any weapon.
- No recoil — disables recoil completely.
- Speedhack — roughly doubles movement speed, up to 400 units.
- Multi jump — lets you double jump.
- Fire rate — increases the fire rate of every weapon.
- Med syringe — gives you a syringe at round start that restores 50 HP in 2 seconds.
- Teleport to ping — instantly moves you to your marker.
- Teleport to kill — after a kill, teleports you to where the opponent died.
- Clone — press F to drop a clone of your player model on the map.
- Push — knocks the enemy model back when you hit it.
- Jeff Bezos — hands you $16,000 at the start of every round.

How to play CS2 "with cheats" without getting banned
Speedhack, one-shot kills, zero recoil — the exact things that get you banned in matchmaking are just settings here. The difference matters: this isn't third-party software, it's lobby rules the host switches on. The game stays fair because the conditions are identical for everyone who got them, and they only work inside your custom match.
How to set up a 1 vs 5 match in CS2
The classic bit of fun is one buffed player against five normal ones. A working solo build: Speedhack, One shot, No recoil, Jeff Bezos, Multi jump and Fire rate. You get someone who flies around the map, sprays without spread and kills on touch — there's almost no counter to it, and that's the point.
How to play with bots and put modifiers on them
If you can't gather five real players, fill the lobby with bots — and modifiers apply to them too. That turns into targeted practice: bots with one-shot punish every careless peek, bots with speedhack train your reaction to fast entries. A handy way to warm up when the full stack didn't come together.
"Total darkness" — CS2 with a flashlight
The newest addition, 16 August 2026: the "Total darkness" mode. The lights go out on the map and you move around with a flashlight. It sits in the same modifier section of the lobby and works on every map — the familiar Mirage turns into a horror game with ambushes in every corner.
How to find a lobby with modifiers
You don't have to host your own — you can join someone else's. The match list has a search by map and host, and whether a room runs modifiers is visible right in its row, before you join. The format, how full it is and the ping are there too, so picking a room takes seconds.
What else is new in CS2 custom matches
The mode got a solid push over the summer of 2026:
- Ping of other players in the lobby — handy for picking a location that suits everyone.
- Quick host menu — balance the teams, shuffle randomly, swap players or send everyone back to waiting.
- Notification sounds — someone joined, left, got kicked, the match is ready, an invite arrived.
- Grenades on the ground explode when shot — Valve added the command in July, we put it into custom matches right away.
- New maps: cs_shelter, de_boulder, de_fachwerk, de_eldorado, de_debris.
- Agent skins — a separate lobby setting you can switch off.
If you'd rather not invent rules and just play, every CS2 mode on CYBERSHOKE is right there: deathmatch, retake, duels and the movement modes KZ, BHOP and SURF.
FAQ
How do you enable modifiers in CS2?
The lobby host enables them in the custom match settings, in the modifiers section. You can give different players different sets, or hand everyone the same set with one button.
How many modifiers are there in CS2 custom matches?
Eleven right now: one shot, no recoil, speedhack, multi jump, fire rate, med syringe, teleport to ping, teleport to kill, clone, push and Jeff Bezos. Plus the separate "Total darkness" mode.
Can you get banned for speedhack or one-shot in a custom match?
No. It isn't third-party software but a lobby setting: the host switches the rules on and they only apply inside that match.
Do you need your own server for a custom match?
Nothing to rent. You create the lobby on the CYBERSHOKE custom matches page, the server spins up on its own, and friends join through an invite.
